Therapy doesn’t always have to feel like therapy. I believe in the importance of our therapeutic relationship, using it as a foundation to support you as you work towards your own healing goals. We’ll go at your own pace—one step at a time.

As a second-generation Korean American woman, my experiences growing up in the U.S. have shaped my understanding of the unique challenges faced by Asian Americans and other minority groups—challenges like family obligations, assimilation, identity conflict, generational trauma, and the struggle to belong.
I specialize in working with teens, college students, young professionals, and adults dealing with complex trauma, relational issues (such as codependency), ADHD, transgenerational trauma, family dynamics, cultural identity, depression, and anxiety.
My therapeutic approach combines Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Art Therapy to foster healing and well-being.
I have six years of clinical experience in various settings, including inpatient psychiatric units, transitional living centers, residential treatment facilities, schools, and private practice, where I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients with very different needs.
Prior to starting my solo-practice at Innerelief Creative Arts Therapy, I held clinical internships and post graduate positions at Davenport Creative Arts Therapy, Bronx Psychiatric Center, The Jewish Board of Children and Family Services, and the Coalition for Hispanic Family Services. At Davenport Creative Arts Therapy, I held positions as an Internship Supervisor, Senior Art Therapist, and Assistant Clinical Director.
During my time as Assistant Clinical Director at Davenport Creative Arts Therapy, I’ve served as the main consultant & facilitator for corporate wellness clients, including; Netflix, Nespresso, New York Presbyterian Hospital, and the Chinese American Planning Council.
I’ve also had the pleasure of featuring in media: “The Pioneer Woman,” What Your Favorite Color Says About You, According to An Expert, published May 12, 2024.
See also my work with New York-Presbyterian- “Health Matters,” NewYork-Presbyterian Hosts “The Art of Healing” Live Podcast and Art Workshop, published October 25, 2024.
